Pro-Israel students at 75 universities across the US and Canada will showcase Israel's commitment to peace by participating in the third annual "Israel Peace Week" movement, February 20 - March 9, 2012. “Israel Peace Week” was created by student leaders trained by Hasbara Fellowships, and is primarily student-run. "Israel Peace Week (IPW)" is a grassroots initiative to counter anti-Israel propaganda with a simple, positive message: Israel wants peace and has demonstrated its willingness to make painful sacrifices for peace. The campaign also outlines options for peace, existential threats to the Jewish state, and the values and accomplishments of a thriving Israeli democracy in an otherwise despotic region. Last year, Israel advocates at 50 universities organized IPW events, and this year 75 campuses are expected to participate. Let’s commend the courageous and innovative young adults making the case for Israel on the front lines.
